“Cyanaire” was a collaborative project in which three of my peers and I designed a capsule collection. The essence of our brand, Cyanaire, was to encapsulate the essence of flowing femininity while also incorporating elements of darkness and utilitarianism. An important aspect of our brand proposal was sustainability, therefore we chose to include natural fibers in our collection and an emphasis on transcending fast-paced trend cycles. I designed and constructed two pieces for this collection, the first being a metallic linen gathered dress with puff sleeves and ties at the cuff. The second piece I created was an oversized bow harness, made with buttery bone white leather and lined with silk taffeta.
